"Richard Egarr and I talked about the work done by the Britten-Pears Programme, how it is becoming much more international in scope, and wide ranging in its ambitions, how the facilities here are now second to none, and how we have been working together training players and singers, culminating in a performance of Handel's "Saul" Friday evening in the Maltings!"

Teaching at the Royal Academy of Music
"I am very pleased finally to have confirmed my involvement with the Royal Academy of Music. The London music colleges continually vie with each other for international prestige. The Academy's star seems to be shining brightly at the moment. I will be teaching counter-tenors, and coaching the Baroque Opera classes. Much scope for fun there, I hope."
